I have 19 years of classroom experience. I studied at the University of Roehampton where I achieved a 2:1 BA HONs in Education with English Specialism. I began my career as a Deputy Playleader for an integrated playgroup after gaining my Cache Diploma in Nursery Nursing. Alongside this role, I was given the opportunity to work as a Children's Play Services Co-ordinator for Sutton Mencap. I went on to gain a BTEC diploma in Special Educational Needs.
Using a baseline assessment to highlight areas of strengths and weaknesses, I offer customised Maths and English sessions based on a child's requirements. My aim is to close gaps in their learning and help children be more confident in the classroom. By offering this personalised approach to learning, I aspire to broaden children's knowledge and understanding in Maths and English whilst building their confidence.
Redhill Tutoring provides a calm and relaxed learning environment where children feel confident, comfortable and at ease. It offers a suitable learning environment to help children feel self-assured in sharing ideas, where their contributions will always be valued. All sessions will be taught in a purpose-built insulated cabin complete with fast Wi-Fi. The cabin has heating for the colder months.
Feedback from students, parents and colleagues
"Bethany was my son's, Year 1 primary school teacher and she started my son's journey of loving school. She made each day interesting and informative and created a passion for learning in him that has lasted. She had a wonderful, kind and caring way about her and I will be forever grateful for the compassion she always showed him. If I am to ask him who his favourite teacher was, he will say Mrs Whybrow."
